Our site of essential oil production and analysis is located in the
heart of the Cathar Country, in the Aude's Pyrenees, on the "Plateau
de Sault", at a height of 900 m.
Having worked for several years in the petrochemical industry
research, our ecological convictions naturally drove us towards the
production and the distillation of aromatic and medicinal plants in biological agriculture
under the certification " Nature and Progress ".
The distillery " Pyrenessences ", which is a cottage industry,
started in 1989, and since, our production of essential oils, has
always been made in the respect for the plant and for the
environment.
The laboratory " Pyrenessences Analyses " was created in 2002, due to
customers eager to know the composition of their essential oils. This
service of analysis is the natural continuation of our career,
combining at the same time, our skills in organic chemistry with our
experience of essential oils on the ground.
